Nearby, a large reclining Buddha image sits in the open air, attracting both worshippers and visitors who come to admire the beautiful architecture and take photographs.

Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan

Next, visit Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, a historic temple that has long been highly revered by local people. The highlight of the temple is Luang Pho To, the largest gilded stucco Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture in Ayutthaya. Revered for its sacred significance, it remains an important spiritual center for devotees.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram

Before lunch, continue to Wat Chaiwatthanaram, one of the most famous and beautiful historical sites within the Ayutthaya Historical Park. 

Wat Phrasri Sanphet

After lunch, visit Wat Phrasri Sanphet, the former royal temple of the ancient palace complex and one of the most iconic landmarks of the historical park. Its most distinctive feature is the row of three Lankan-style chedis standing in a straight line, regarded as one of the finest and most beautiful examples of Ayutthaya architecture. 

Wat Mahathat

Continue to Wat Mahathat, famous worldwide for the sandstone Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree, creating one of the most recognizable images of Ayutthaya. In the past, the temple was home to sacred Buddha relics and served as an important religious center of the kingdom.

Wat Ratchaburana

Finally, visit Wat Ratchaburana, known for its impressive architecture. The main prang, a large ancient Khmer-style tower, is admired for its elegant proportions and remarkable design. Many of its original stucco decorations remain well preserved, including figures of Garudas, giants, and celestial beings. Visitors can also climb the stairs to enjoy views from the upper level of the prang.
