Full Description

Bridge Over River Kwai

The Bridge over the River Kwai is a landmark that attracts a continuous flow of visitors throughout the year. It beautifully combines rich historical significance with impressive natural scenery. Upon arrival, visitors should not miss the opportunity to walk across the iconic black steel bridge, which was constructed during World War II. Walking along the railway tracks, taking photographs, and enjoying panoramic views of the Kwai Yai River are truly memorable experiences.

After exploring the bridge, visitors can enjoy a scenic train journey across the River Kwai to Tham Krasae Station. This section of the route, widely known as the Death Railway, is considered the most exciting and visually striking part of the journey, as the train runs alongside steep cliffs overlooking the river.

ThamKrasae  ( Death Railway )

Once the train arrives at ThamKrasae Station, passengers can disembark and walk along the railway tracks to admire the scenery and take photographs of the most beautiful yet also the most dangerous section of the Death Railway, where the tracks closely follow high cliffs above the Kwai Noi River. After that, have lunch at a local restaurant.

Saiyok Elephant Park

A visit to Saiyok Elephant Park is more than a sightseeing activity; it is an opportunity to spend time with elephants in a compassionate and respectful way. The experience begins with changing into traditional Mor Hom clothing, setting a relaxed, local atmosphere before engaging closely with the elephants. The next activity involves preparing nutritious food for the elephants. This includes making sticky rice by combining the ingredients and shaping them into round portions, followed by hand-feeding the elephants. Fresh fruits and grass, such as watermelon, are also provided to enrich their diet and ensure they enjoy a healthy and satisfying meal. One of the most memorable moments at Saiyok Elephant Park is bathing the elephants in the River Kwai, a signature activity of the park. Time is spent in the water alongside the elephants, helping to wash and gently scrub them while enjoying the surrounding natural scenery. After the bath, the elephants spend time playing in the sand along the riverbank, creating a calm and joyful atmosphere that beautifully reflects the warm relationship between people and elephants.
